Dispute the Accuracy of Your Background Report or Testing Results

If you believe information in your report is inaccurate or incomplete

If you believe any information in your background report or testing results is inaccurate or incomplete, you may submit a dispute at no cost. We will review the specific item or items you identify and begin a reinvestigation as quickly as possible. Depending on the nature, scope, and source of the information being disputed, our reinvestigation may take up to 30 days to complete. In limited circumstances, it may take up to 45 days. If you need help identifying the specific record you want to dispute, our support team can assist you.

What to include in your dispute

To help us review your request quickly, include:

  • Your full name

  • Contact information

  • A clear description of the item you believe is inaccurate

  • Any supporting documents you want us to review

  • The reason you believe the information should be corrected

If your report was used for employment screening

If your report was provided to a prospective employer, please note that we cannot explain or change the employer’s hiring decision. We can only review and correct information in the report or results we furnished.
